Since the lifting of entry restrictions to Japan in October 2022, we have been pleased to see a steady return of guests from overseas.
In October this year, we welcomed the highest number of international guests ever, including pre-pandemic times.
While maintaining the traditional setting of a Japanese ryokan, we have embraced diversity in our offerings, including tattoo-friendly private hot springs, vegan-friendly Japanese cuisine, and a friendly staff to accommodate guests from around the world.
Shima Onsen is easily accessible from Tokyo by highly direct bus or JR train, yet it boasts an incredibly tranquil and peaceful atmosphere.
After bustling through tourist spots like Tokyo, Kyoto, or Osaka, we recommend our serene setting for those seeking a quiet respite.
